The one-kilometer-long Songdo Canal Walk is a vibrant mixed-use corridor linking the business and residential areas of the KPF-designed Songdo International Business District (New Songdo City).

Stretching across five blocks from Central Park to the river, the development lines a man-made canal at the heart of the city. Each five-story building features glass-fronted retail on the first two floors and upscale “office-tel” units—blending office and hotel-style residential space—on the upper levels. The project concludes with a public park.

Retail offerings include a fitness club, bookstore, shops, and high-end restaurants, all accessible from both the street and the traffic-free, peaceful canal. A landscaped boardwalk enhances the pedestrian experience.

Serving as a connector between key city zones—residences, commercial areas, schools, and parks—the buildings feature a mix of wood louvers, metal screens, and pre-cast concrete panels with floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a visually unified yet varied urban design.
